Inspired by the shape of each individual gourd, the skillfull touch of Gita Landwehr's pyro-engraving has created charming gourd art - containers and sculptures.

When lifted, the heads of the doll-like containers reveal themselves as cleverly camouflaged lids. The bowl sections of the gourds are suitable for holding all sorts of treasures, from Easter eggs to jewelry. (Direct contact with food, however, is not recommended). The insides are painted and coated with a non-toxic varnish that can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The ousides are finished with paste wax.
